At Sparkling Angels Nurseries we believe in building strong, positive relationships with parents and carers of all children who attend our nurseries. To support these we provide information for parents on policies and procedures in a variety of formats. We take time to explain what our policies mean and how our practices are formulated.
Initially parents receive information about their child’s room and this will contain information on up-to-date activities and expectations. Extra support will always be available during transition times for families within the nursery.
Parents questions are responded to and we are always keen to hear what parents say about what we do. Parents are consulted on all issues that affect the welfare, well-being, learning and development of their children. Their views are taken into account.
Arrangements are in place to ensure that information about children’s care, learning and development is shared on a daily basis with parents. An overview of the experiences and activities in which the children are involved is shared with parents to enable them to participate fully in their children’s lives in the nursery.
Parents are encouraged to look at and contribute to their child’s development via Tapestry and opportunities are provided to discuss progress on a regular basis. Any concerns that arise about a child’s progress or behaviour are discussed fully with parents and plans made to address any issues.
Each setting also works in partnership with a wide range of other professionals and organisations and information, support and advice are freely available to parents and carers who may wish to access these services.
We regularly invite parents and carers to join in with nursery activities – something which is enjoyed by parents, children and staff alike.
